Persatuan C.H.I.L.D. Sabah organised a dialogue session with regards to the Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) card. The objective of the dialogue was to introduce the card and its benefits to parents and members of the community. An on-the-spot registration drive was also carried out with the help of Jabatan Perkhidmatan Kebajikan Am (JPKA) staff and volunteer doctors.
It was successfully attended by more than one hundred participants.
Jabatan Perkhidmatan Kebajikan Am presented a paper. There was also a question and answer session.
It was voiced out that more sessions such as this need to be organised so that parents will be able to meet with JPKA officers and discuss certain issues pertaining to the card and its benefits.
