The 6th sensory friendly movie for individuals with disabilities and their families is back! It was held at Golden Screen Cinemas, Suria Sabah Shopping Mall with 88 seats.

Sensory-friendly screenings are intended to provide space and opportunity for individuals who have sensory processing disorders to watch a movie in an environment that is sensitive to their needs. Sensory Processing Disorder or SPD is a term used when one is hypersensitive to various stimuli such as sound, smells, lights, different textures, crowded places and so on.

What can you expect in a sensory-friendly screening?

  1. Dimmed lights;
  2. Low sounds; and
  3. Audience are allowed to move, walk, talk, jump, run or scream.
